Bhuvana Kannan, an ardent music lover, had initial training in veena from Smt. Subadhra Ramadurai and advanced training from Late Tiruvarur Smt. Alamelu Ammal and Late Tiruvarur S. Balasubramanium (A grade artist Trichy).
Smt. Bhuvana Kannan is well known for her melodious music, great command over the divine instrument through different slides, Gamakas, varying strokes and unique fingering techniques and adherence to tradition. She was selected as a Veena Artiste by the Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram, and has won awards from many organization. Bhuvana Kannan performed many concerts in Prestigious Sabhas in India, USA, Dubai, Television, AIR, Dance programs, BGM for Music Operas, and Jugalbandhis. She works in IT field and also teach Veena to students who are passionate towards this instrument.
